Knife Care
Our knives are built to last a life time and with a little care will provide a life time of service.
Rule 1 - Never store a knife in a wet sheath!
Rule 2 – Never put our knives in a dish washer!
Stainless Steel
Although stainless steel can be understood to mean non-rusting, stainless steel can be affected by light surface rusting if not looked after correctly, especially after contract with salt water. Depending on use, we recommend carefully cleaning our stainless steel knives with soapy water, allowing to dry thoroughly and wiping over with a light oil on a cloth.
D2
As D2 is a high carbon steel, it will rust if mistreated. However D2 will form it’s own individual patina over the years and each blade will tell its own story. Depending on use, we recommend carefully cleaning our D2 knives with soapy water, allowing to dry thoroughly and wiping over with a light oil on a cloth.
